Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated OBG Registrar with 1-5 years of experience to join our Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBG) department. The ideal candidate will support the OBG consultants in providing exceptional care to women across all stages of life, including prenatal, antenatal, and postnatal care, as well as gynecological services.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Provide medical care to patients in the Obstetrics and Gynecology department, including managing routine and high-risk pregnancies.
• Clinical Assessment: Perform thorough patient assessments, assist in diagnosis, and develop appropriate treatment plans in collaboration with consultants.
• Deliveries: Assist in conducting normal deliveries, cesarean sections, and other obstetric procedures under supervision.
• Gynecological Services: Manage and assist with gynecological consultations, surgeries, and procedures, including hysterectomies, laparoscopy, and infertility treatments.
• Emergency Care: Handle obstetric and gynecological emergencies promptly, including complications during labor and delivery.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, including antenatal and gynecological histories, treatment plans, and follow-ups.
• Patient Education: Provide counseling and guidance on family planning, prenatal care, postpartum care, and gynecological health.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with OBG consultants, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, and nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care.
• Training and Development: Participate in departmental case discussions, quality improvement programs, and clinical training sessions.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: MBBS with MD/DNB/DGO in Obstetrics and Gynecology (recognized by MCI).
• Experience: 1-5 years in obstetrics and gynecology, with exposure to both outpatient and inpatient care.

• Skills:
• Proficiency in managing normal and high-risk pregnancies.
• Knowledge of gynecological procedures and treatments.
• Strong decision-making and critical-thinking skills, especially in emergencies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.

Work Schedule

• Rotational shifts, including night duties as required.
• On-call responsibilities for emergencies.
