Role : Technical Writer BA

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Writer to contribute to the documentation and optimisation of our modern data and analytics tech stack.

This role is instrumental in ensuring seamless communication between technical complexity and business needs while focusing on cutting-edge tools and methodologies.

Our tech stack includes state-of-the-art platforms such as Azure Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, Coalesce.io, Airflow, GitHub, FastAPI, and Azure Cloud, as well as technologies like LLMs and OpenAI.

A strong foundation in SQL and Python is essential. Additionally, the ideal candidate will collaborate closely with stakeholders and occasionally step into a Business Analyst role to align data-driven objectives with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Documentation:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of our data and analytics stack, including user guides, architectural diagrams, API references, and best practices.
• Provide detailed documentation for workflows involving Azure Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, Coalesce.io, Airflow, and FastAPI.
• Create technical guides for implementing LLM and OpenAI integrations, with use cases and performance benchmarks.
• Ensure all documentation is clear, accessible, and aligned with organizational standards for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Use version control tools like GitHub to manage documentation updates.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Partner with data engineers, analysts, data scientists, and DevOps teams to gather requirements and translate them into actionable documentation.
• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment and clarify technical possibilities.

Business Analysis (As Needed):

• Assist in defining and documenting requirements for data-driven projects, user stories, and success criteria.
• Perform gap analyses to identify opportunities for process improvements in the data pipeline.
• Help business stakeholders understand the capabilities and limitations of modern data technologies.

Knowledge Management:

• Develop a centralized knowledge base for the evolving data and analytics stack to streamline onboarding and encourage knowledge sharing.
• Ensure timely updates to documentation to reflect any modifications or additions to the tech stack.

Qualifications

Required:

• Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably with a focus on data and analytics platforms or modern cloud-based tools.
• Expertise in documenting workflows and processes for platforms such as Azure Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, Coalesce.io, Airflow, FastAPI, LLMs, and OpenAI.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Familiarity with Azure Cloud services and GitHub for version control.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in an accessible manner.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
