Roles and Responsibilities :

AI-ML Proof of Concepts (POC) :

- Lead the creation and development of POCs in the AI/ML domain, with a particular focus on Generative AI (Gen AI) applications.

- Design and prototype solutions that showcase the potential of Gen AI technologies for various business needs.

Team Guidance & Best Practices :

- Provide guidance to team members on the best practices for implementing Generative AI solutions.

- Share insights on efficient development methodologies, tools, and frameworks to accelerate project delivery.

AI Tools Inventory :

- Curate an inventory of the best AI tools available in the market for different use cases.

- Research and evaluate new AI tools that can optimize the development process and enhance product capabilities.

Stakeholder Collaboration :

- Work closely with stakeholders to identify business needs and use cases.

- Understand the requirements, propose AI/ML-based solutions, and align these solutions with the stakeholders' goals.

Idea Generation & Presentation :

- Continuously propose new ideas for AI solutions that can solve complex challenges.

- Present detailed implementation plans, including technical specifications, timelines, and potential business impact.

AI-ML/Gen AI POC Leadership :

- Take ownership of driving AI-ML/Gen AI POCs in the GISC (Global Information Systems & Communications) internal POC team.

- Lead efforts to ensure successful project completion while addressing stakeholder objectives and ensuring team skill development in Generative AI.

Project Details :

The AI Engineer position is within the GISC internal POC team at Sony.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading and driving the execution of AI-ML/Generative AI POCs, while ensuring that these efforts align with stakeholder objectives.

This role also provides an excellent opportunity to upskill and mentor team members in the rapidly evolving Generative AI space.

Desired Skills and Experience :

- 3 to 5 years of experience in AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI (Gen AI), with a proven track record of building and deploying AI solutions.

- Strong expertise in Generative AI, including working with Large Language Models (LLMs), and experience with platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP.

- Proficiency in working with cloud environments and understanding of their services related to AI/ML workloads (e.g, AWS Sagemaker, Azure AI, GCP AI tools).

- Experience building proof of concepts (POCs) and translating technical ideas into actionable, scalable AI solutions.

- Strong problem-solving abilities and experience in understanding and addressing business challenges through AI technologies.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to evolving requirements while staying focused on delivering value.

Preferred Skills :

- Familiarity with AI tools, libraries, and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenAI GPT models, Hugging Face, etc.

- Experience with data pipelines, data preprocessing, and large-scale AI/ML model development and deployment.

- A deep understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their role in scaling AI solutions.

- Ability to mentor and guide junior team members in the Gen AI domain.
