Patent Lawyer - Law Firm (4-5 yrs)

We are seeking a highly skilled Patent Lawyer having 4-5 years of experience with a background in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence to join a tier-one law firm. The ideal candidate will have expertise in patent prosecution, litigation, and advisory services, particularly in emerging AI technologies, software, and related innovations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct patentability searches, draft, and prosecute patent applications related to AI, machine learning, software, and computer science innovations.

- Advise clients on intellectual property (IP) strategies, patent portfolio management, and technology-driven legal matters.

- Analyze technical disclosures and work closely with inventors, engineers, and R&D teams to identify and protect innovations.

- Represent clients in patent litigation, oppositions, and infringement analysis before national and international IP offices.

- Provide legal opinions on freedom-to-operate (FTO), patent validity, and infringement risks for AI and software technologies. Stay updated with global AI-related patent laws, regulations, and emerging IP trends.

- Assist in technology licensing, IP due diligence, and contract negotiation related to AI-driven innovations.

Key Skills & Requirements:

- Strong technical knowledge of AI, machine learning, deep learning, and software development.

- Experience in patent drafting, prosecution, and litigation within the technology sector.

- Familiarity with USPTO, EPO, and Indian patent laws (or relevant jurisdictions).

- Excellent legal research, analytical, and advisory skills.

- Ability to collaborate with technical and legal teams effectively.

- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
