The Opportunity:
As a key member of the Commercial Excellence Team, reporting directly to the AMEA Pricing Manager, the Pricing Analyst will play a critical role in supporting Avantor's pricing strategy.
This role focuses on developing and implementing data-driven pricing strategies aimed at optimizing revenue, maximizing margins, and enhancing market share, all while ensuring high customer satisfaction.
The Pricing Analyst will work closely with Sales, Portfolio Management, Master Data, and Finance teams to streamline pricing operations, ensuring efficient collaboration and process optimization.
You will partner with analytics leadership to drive improvements in pricing infrastructure, ensuring that pricing decisions are well-informed and based on high-quality data.
This role also involves generating insightful data analysis reports and making actionable recommendations to support key business decisions.
The position spans across multiple business units, covering the analytical needs of both the Laboratory Solutions Segment (LSS) and the Bioscience Production Segment (BPS).
What we're looking for:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree from a Tier-1 college; an MBA from a Tier-1 or Tier-2 business school is preferred but not mandatory.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Pricing Analyst or in a similar role, ideally within an MNC in a B2B environment handling a diverse product portfolio.
Strong understanding of pricing strategies, optimization techniques, and experience with margin analysis and price-volume-mix.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in SAP, advanced Excel and R programming language, and data visualization tools (Power BI Tableau).
Experience with pricing tools is an added advantage.
Core Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform complex analysis.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while working under tight deadlines.
Strong organizational skills and a proactive, autonomous work ethic.

How you'll thrive and create an impact:
1. Pricing Operations & Customer Pricing:
Collaborate with Sales and Portfolio teams to coordinate pricing proposals and opportunities.
Continuously refine pricing processes by incorporating feedback from both internal and external stakeholders.
Develop price guidance, metrics, and product cost analysis (covering both self-manufactured and traded products) and perform gross margin analysis at local and corporate levels.
2. Advanced Analytics & Pricing Simulations:
Perform detailed pricing analytics including price elasticity studies, geographic/regional behavior analysis, discount trends, price bell curve analysis, and price-volume-mix effects.
Leverage advanced analytics to simulate pricing scenarios and assess impacts on profitability and market competitiveness.
3. Process Improvement & Efficiency:
Drive continuous improvements in pricing processes, ensuring efficient and effective execution.
Coordinate with AMEA-Global Master Data and Global Pricing Operations to resolve costing and pricing issues within the ERP system.
4. Data Management & Reporting:
Maintain and monitor the pricing repository, identifying opportunities for system enhancements.
Produce comprehensive data analysis reports and actionable insights to guide business decisions.
