Maths Teacher

Augment Edutech is seeking an experienced and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our team of educators. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of advanced mathematics and experience in teaching higher-level math across multiple curricula including CBSE, IGCSE, ICSE, IB, and regional programs in the UK, US, and Australia. This position offers the opportunity to teach students remotely, with a focus on creating a positive, supportive, and dynamic learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
Teach Mathematics to High School and Advanced Levels: Provide high-quality, engaging, and interactive math instruction to students aged 10-18 years across different curricula (CBSE, IGCSE, ICSE, IB, and other regional boards in the UK, US, and Australia).

Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development: Develop and deliver well-structured lesson plans and educational materials in line with curriculum requirements. Ensure that lessons are appropriately tailored to the needs of students with varying abilities.

Assessments & Student Progress Tracking: Conduct regular assessments to evaluate students grasp of the subject matter and provide timely, constructive feedback. Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods to improve learning outcomes.

Engaging Learning Experience: Foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment, using a variety of teaching methods such as problem-solving, visual aids, interactive activities, and real-life applications to make mathematics fun and comprehensible.

One-on-One Support: Offer personalized attention and guidance to students who require additional help and encouragement.

Technology Integration: Use modern technology effectively in the classroom, including a high-speed internet connection, online whiteboards, writing tablets, and educational software to facilitate live online classes.

Communication with Parents and Students: Regularly communicate with parents to provide updates on student progress and areas for improvement. Build positive relationships with students and their families.

Qualifications and Requirements
Educational Background: A degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field. A Masters or Doctorate in Education or Mathematics is a plus.

Experience:

8+ years of experience teaching mathematics at the middle school, high school, or advanced levels.
Strong understanding of multiple curriculums such as CBSE, IGCSE, ICSE, IB, and other international curricula (UK, US, and Australia).

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in teaching online using tools such as Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams.
Comfortable with using digital whiteboards, writing tablets, and learning management systems.
Language Skills: Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate complex mathematical concepts clearly and effectively.

Passion for Teaching:

Experience in developing creative lesson plans, instructional content, and assessments.
Adaptability & Patience: Must be patient, compassionate, and able to engage with students from diverse backgrounds and varying levels of ability.

Internet & Technology:

High-speed internet connection.
Must have a working whiteboard, writing tablet, and a reliable computer setup to ensure smooth and seamless live online classes.

Preferred Skills:
Prior experience in creating interactive, engaging, and inquiry-based math learning environments.
Familiarity with educational platforms and online learning tools.
Knowledge of the latest trends in mathematics education and pedagogy.
