What Youll Do:

As a QA Lead Engineer at ELIXR Labs, your primary focus is to lead and mentor the QA Team. Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead testing efforts: Manage and oversee testing activities across multiple projects, ensuring thorough UI and API testing.
• Create and review test plans: Develop and review detailed test plans and strategies to cover all functional and non-functional requirements.
• Mentor and manage: Provide guidance to QA team members, ensuring quality deliverables, helping them grow their skills, and conducting performance reviews.
• Utilize tools like JIRA: Manage and document testing efforts using tools such as JIRA, test case management systems, and reporting dashboards.
• Collaborate for quality improvement: Work closely with developers and product managers to address testing challenges and enhance quality assurance processes.
• Database validation: Ensure data integrity by validating and debugging databases using basic SQL and No-SQL queries (SELECT, UPDATE, DELETE).
• Generate reports: Prepare regular test reports for management, providing insights into defect trends, test coverage, and quality metrics.

Skills and Qualifications:

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field

Experience

• 7 to 11 years of experience in Quality Assurance.
• Minimum 3+ years in a lead or senior QA role.
• Strong experience in UI and API testing.
• Proficiency in JIRA and other test management tools.
• Basic knowledge of databases (SQL queries).

Functional Skills (Role Specific):

Primary Skills:

• Lead the QA team through end-to-end testing processes for UI and API validation.
• Allocate tasks and manage resources to meet testing timelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define quality goals and ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Develop comprehensive test plans and review testing strategies.
• Conduct test case reviews and provide guidance on best practices for test execution.
• Track and report test progress, defect rates, and overall product quality.
• Generate detailed management reports, ensuring transparency on quality metrics.
• Work with cross-functional teams (development, product, etc.) to ensure project success and adherence to quality standards.
• Engage in sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives to align testing with Agile practices.

Good to Have Skills:

• Basic knowledge in Test Automation Process.
• Knowledge in Cucumber, BDD framework, Azure Cloud Platform.
