Job Description
We are looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented QA Lead Engineer to guide our Quality Assurance efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in UI and API testing, experience with databases, and proficiency in JIRA and test management tools. As a QA Lead Engineer, you will lead a team of QA professionals, create and execute test plans, and ensure high-quality standards across all projects.
As a QAAssociate Manager at ELIXR Labs, your primary focus is to lead and mentor theQA Team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leadtesting efforts: Manage andoversee testing activities across multiple projects, ensuring thorough UI andAPI testing .
- Create andreview test plans: Develop andreview detailed test plans and strategies to cover all functional andnon-functional requirements .
- Mentor andmanage: Guide QA teammembers, ensuring quality deliverables, helping them grow their skills, andconducting performance reviews .
- Utilizetools like JIRA: Manage anddocument testing efforts using JIRA, test case managementsystems, and reporting dashboards .
- Collaboratefor quality improvement: Workclosely with developers and product managers to address testing challenges andenhance quality assurance processes .
- Databasevalidation: Ensure dataintegrity by validating and debugging databases using basic SQL and No-SQLqueries (SELECT, UPDATE, DELETE).
- Generatereports: Prepareregular test reports for management, providing insights into defect trends,test coverage, and quality metrics.
RequirementsSkills andQualifications :
Qualifications:
Education:- Bachelordegree in computer science, Engineering, orrelated field.
Experience:- 7 to 11 years of experience in Quality Assurance.
Minimum 3+years in a lead or senior QA role.
Strong experience in UI and API testing.
Proficiency in JIRA and other test managementtools.
Basic knowledge of databases (SQL queries).
PrimarySkills:
- Leadthe QA team through end-to-end testing processes for UI and API validation.
- Allocatetasks and manage resources to meet testing timelines.
- Collaboratewith stakeholders to define quality goals and ensure alignment with projectobjectives.
- Developcomprehensive test plans and review testing strategies.
- Conducttest case reviews and guide best practices for test execution.
- Trackand report test progress, defect rates, and overall product quality.
- Generatedetailed management reports, ensuring transparency on quality metrics.
- Workwith cross-functional teams (development, product, etc.) to ensure projectsuccess and adherence to quality standards.
- Engage in sprintplanning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to align testing with Agilepractices.
Good toHave Skills:
- Basicknowledge of the Automation Process.
- Knowledgein Cucumber, BDD framework, Azure Cloud Platform.
