The AP Analyst is responsible for supporting the efficient and effective delivery of the end-to-end Accounts Payable process. The AP Analyst collaborates with Global Process Owners, AP Business Leads and the Managed Service Accounts Payable team to ensure
external stakeholders (vendors) and other internal departments to ensure effective and efficient process operations. The AP Analyst participates in process performance reviews and recommends process-related improvement opportunities.
Job Responsibilities:
Provides assistance with AP Policy, guidelines, service framework, etc. as requested by leadership
Assists stakeholders (internal and external) with information and data requests related to AP processes
Participates in improvement opportunities related to AP data, technology or process
Provides ad-hoc support AP reports, investigations and processing initiatives as required
Responsible for reviewing and approving weekly/ fortnightly vendor payments
Reviews Vendor Master Data creation / changes including outbound vendor verification as required complying with laid down processes
Reviews invoice exceptions and escalate and resolve issues to assist with resolution
Works with Managed Service team and other internal stakeholders to manage and resolve escalated items
Participation and active contribution (Including UAT s) in existing ongoing and upcoming AP related projects / process enhancements
Requirements:
Degree or post-secondary diploma in Business/Management Accounting from a recognized institution
Minimum 3 years experience working in a similar role within accounting
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (including Outlook, Word, and Excel)
Familiar with financial systems software
Enjoys working with numbers, performs with a high degree of accuracy and has experience maintaining large spreadsheets
