US Individual Tax Preparer - Remote (Full Time)

• Prepare and file federal, state, and local individual tax returns (Form 1040 and related schedules).
• Work closely with clients to address tax-related queries and provide professional advice.
• Prepare and Review Individual (1040), Trust (1041 prepared by Tax Preparer.
• Calculate tax liabilities, deductions, and credits.
• Experience with Tax Act Enterprise Software.
• Analyze and review financial records, including W-2s, 1099s, investment statements, and prior year returns.
• Identify eligible deductions, credits, and opportunities for tax savings.
• Provide guidance to clients on tax laws, filing requirements, and potential liabilities.
• Address discrepancies, amendments, and IRS notices as needed.
• Maintain organized and confidential client records.
• Stay updated on changes to tax laws and regulations.
• Someone with Annual Season Filing Training will be a plus.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in individual tax preparation (2-4 years preferred).
• Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., Tax Act Enterprise Software, Drake, or ProConnect).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex tax concepts to clients.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with U.S.-based clients.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
