Sr Specialist Software Engineering

Job Description:

Overall Purpose: Design, develop/code, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality software solutions, ensuring efficient delivery processes and production support with a focus on automation and industry best practices.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Design, Development and Coding: Design and code software applications by applying various programming languages to execute development methodologies. (Software Engineers MUST design AND code applications at a minimum.)
Collaboration and Communication: Gather and review software requirements, provide estimates, create design specifications, and work with engineers/architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions.
Testing and Debugging: Develop and implement automated test plans, validate test environments, data, and results, design and implement code fixes, and produce reporting.
Maintenance and Support: Troubleshoot and resolve application configuration and environment issues.
Deployment: Facilitate and support the software deployment process.


Job Contribution: An experienced professional with in-depth knowledge, applying organizational practices to resolve moderately difficult problems. Works with independent judgement on expansive projects with minimal supervision, implementing policy changes to improve functions. Actions impact efficiency costs, schedules and client relationships. Education/Experience: Bachelor s degree (BS/BA) desired in Computer Science. 2+ years of related experience. Certification is required in some areas.
