About the Job :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PL/SQL Developer with expertise in Oracle database tuning to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing PL/SQL code, as well as ensuring optimal Oracle database performance.

This role requires a strong understanding of database design, performance tuning techniques, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities :

PL/SQL Development and Maintenance :

- Design, develop, and maintain complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.

- Write efficient and optimized PL/SQL code to support application requirements.

- Troubleshoot and resolve PL/SQL code issues and performance bottlenecks.

Oracle Database Performance Tuning :

- Conduct thorough database performance analysis and identify areas for improvement.

- Optimize SQL queries, indexes, and database configurations for maximum performance.

- Perform regular database health checks and implement proactive performance tuning measures.

- Utilize tools like Explain Plan, SQL Trace, and AWR reports for performance analysis.

Database Design and Data Modeling :

- Design and implement logical and physical data models.

- Create and maintain database schemas, tables, and constraints.

- Ensure data integrity and consistency through proper database design.

Collaboration and Communication :

- Work closely with application developers, database administrators, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members.

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Database Administration Support :

- Assist with database backup and recovery processes.

- Support database deployments and upgrades.

- Provide support for database-related issues and daily business operations.

Documentation and Best Practices :

- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

- Adhere to coding standards and best practices.

- Contribute to the development and improvement of database development processes.

Forms and Reports Development :

- Develop and maintain Oracle Forms and Reports.

Unix Shell Scripting :

- Develop and maintain unix shell scripts related to database tasks.

Apex Development :

- Develop and maintain Oracle Apex applications.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

Oracle Database Expertise :

- Extensive experience with Oracle databases (11g, 12c, 19c, or later).

- Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture and concepts.

PL/SQL Proficiency :

- Advanced knowledge of PL/SQL programming.

- Ability to write complex PL/SQL code and optimize existing code.

SQL Tuning Expertise :

- Proven experience in SQL query optimization and database performance tuning.

- Proficiency in using Oracle performance tuning tools.

Database Design and Data Modeling :

- Solid understanding of database design principles and data modeling techniques.

Toad for Oracle :

- Proficiency in using Toad for Oracle or similar database development tools.

Unix Shell Scripting :

- Experience with Unix shell scripting.

- Communication and Collaboration :

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Problem-Solving Skills :
