The External Supply Coordinator is responsible for translating the supply plan from GSC&S into an agreed supply schedule. As the primary AZ representative, you will manage the execution of the external operational plan. With support from Operations Leads, AZ assigned functional representatives, and external suppliers, you will be responsible for the resolution of short-term issues impacting supply and ensure planning systems remain aligned.
Through weekly S&OE, you will provide a critical routine work with the GSC&S Network Supply Team, managing communication related to supply and demand events and associated remediation actions. As a core member of the External Operations Team, you will provide input on short-term operational issues, maintain supply performance metrics, and assemble capacity data to support GSC&S planning.
Working alongside the External Operations Leads & Managers, you will support maintaining relationships in a global, fast-paced environment. This role requires proficient communication and cultural awareness, in addition to being an intuitive problem solver with strong attention to detail.
Accountabilities
Responsible for the receipt and translation of monthly net requirements plan from GSC&S into an optimized supply schedule from the external supply node(s).
Creation and maintenance of supplier purchase orders.
Lead regular meetings with external suppliers to handle the operational supply plan.
Handle execution of the supply schedule, coordinating flow from supply into the next node (both internal and external) and implement receipts to maintain system alignment.
Supervise inventory levels across both internal and external networks to ensure target and contractual inventory policies are adhered to.
Coordinate the resolution of short-term supply issues by engaging AZ Technical & Quality teams and external supply resources as required .
Raise supply events as required for awareness and support of the External Operations Lead.
Work with the Network Supply Team in Global Supply Chain to provide supply updates, including details of supply events and ongoing actions to support resolution.
Collect and maintain capacity data from the supplier to facilitate development of achievable plans by the Network Supply Team.
Collect data and populate key performance metrics.
Be responsible for timely invoice payment in line with commercial terms through seamless transactional execution and routine monitoring of the invoice ledger for their given portfolio.
Responsible for the accurate maintenance of systems master data.
Support project execution through the coordination of tactical changes with the supplier via routine supply meetings.
Support the External Operations Leads by providing input for key external-facing meetings (S&OP, BRM, SLM).
Provide cover for the External Operations Lead in key governance meetings as required .
Chip in to Risk Management & Continuous Improvement through identifying and intensifying risks & opportunities across their portfolio.
Maintain SOx compliance, ensuring all stock audits, stock reconciliations, and account management controls are completed accurately, ensuring transactional activities are carried out in line with DoA and Segregation of Duty principles.
Essential Skills/Experience
A degree or equivalent in Business, Logistics, Sciences or Engineering is preferred; equivalent experience will be taken into account .
Prior experience in Supply Chain Environment (Manufacturing, Planning).
Digital savvy (data & system minded).
Excellent communications and collaboration skills required to handle a multitude of customers and collaborators, both internal and external to AZ.
Commercially aware.
Globally and culturally aware.
Confident engaging with team members at all levels.
