Staff Nurse

Job Summary:

The Staff Nurse provides high-quality patient care by applying nursing principles and techniques, collaborating with medical staff, and ensuring patient comfort and satisfaction. The role involves direct patient care, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and promoting a safe and healthy environment for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care:

1. Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols and care plans.
2. Monitor and record patients' medical histories, vital signs, and progress.
3. Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed.
4. Assist in medical examinations, procedures, and diagnostic tests.
5. Educate patients and families about treatment plans, post-hospital care, and health management.

Clinical Duties:

1. Ensure accurate documentation in patient records and reports.
2. Maintain infection control practices to prevent the spread of diseases.
3. Respond to emergencies and provide immediate care as required.
4. Prepare and maintain medical equipment and supplies.

Collaboration and Coordination:

1. Work collaboratively with the healthcare team, including physicians, therapists, and other nurses.
2. Coordinate patient care with other departments, such as laboratory and radiology.
3. Participate in patient discharge planning and follow-up care recommendations.

Quality and Compliance:

1. Adhere to nursing standards, policies, and regulations to ensure quality patient care.
2. Stay updated with advancements in nursing practices and attend relevant training programs.
