GIS Support Specialist - Data Management (3-5 yrs)

Assystem is an independent engineering group based in Paris.

It provides services in design, construction, supervision, commissioning and operation of complex projects and industrial infrastructure, mostly in the nuclear industry.

Overview : Skilled GIS Support Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in GIS technologies and tools, with a strong background in GIS analysis, data management, and problem-solving.

The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can support GIS projects, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical guidance to ensure the effective use of GIS systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Provide technical support for GIS software and tools, including ArcGIS, QGIS, and related applications.

- Assist in the creation, editing, and management of GIS data layers and databases.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to GIS data, software, and hardware.

- Perform data analysis and generate maps, reports, and visualizations as needed.

- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to understand GIS requirements and provide solutions.

- Maintain and update GIS documentation and workflows.

- Assist with the integration of GIS data with other systems and technologies.

- Conduct training sessions and provide support for GIS users.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Cartography, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.

- Proven experience with GIS software (e.g, ArcGIS Desktop/Pro, QGIS) and related tools (e.g, ArcPy, Python).

- Strong understanding of GIS concepts, data formats, projections, and coordinate systems.

- Experience in data management, spatial analysis, and map creation.

- Familiarity with database management systems (e.g, SQL, Spatial Databases).

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.

- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Revit and Dynamo for GIS integrations.

Qualifications :

- B-Tech.
