Associate, Financial Process Services

About the Department:

Financial Process Services (FPS) is a vertical of TresVista that works with major clients in the spectrum of the financial services industry. FPS caters to their needs related to accounting & financial data extraction and spreading and enables holistic view based on summarized data & information which is consumed at various levels and by finance professionals. Exposure to processes related to core finance and accounting clubbed with innovative techniques and software adds value to the professional growth of aspirants looking for a career in the finance industry.

Key Role Deliverables:

• Leading project requests, guiding Analysts on execution and ensuring their output is client-ready
• Reviewing the Analysts work for accuracy and consistency in the categorization of line items, journal entries, invoice processing, and other project-related deliverable
• Handholding team on complex projects and ensuring adherence to project deadlines and quality standards
• Maximizing team productivity and ensuring communication guidelines and timelines (TAT) are adhered

Operational Responsibilities:

• Experienced Finance professional with strong focus on Record-to-Report (R2R) function
• Comprehensive understanding of General Accounting, GL, Month End Close, Divisional Accounting, Product Costing
• Handle month-end close, journal entry process, FA transactions, balance sheet reconciliation, chart of accounts creation/ update and related tasks
• Ensure compliance with standards and regulations
• Ability to deep dive and generate action-oriented reports for clients and suggest process improvement
• Perform variance analysis of income and expense heads
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Detailed understanding and ability to produce meaningful analysis and reports using proprietary and third-party software and databases (such as SAP, Netsuite, QuickBooks, Coupa, Zoho, etc.) designed to cater to the finance industry
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for financial data accuracy

Team Management:

• Goal setting and performance review of direct reports. Able to deliver timely and balanced performance feedback
• Auditing of team timesheet, tracker for completeness and correctness
• Identify training needs and provide training, coaching, and mentoring where appropriate
• Recruiting and retaining the highest quality talent into the team
• Instituting knowledge sharing / best practice sharing forums
• Preparing periodic performance, utilization, and efficiency reporting packages to discuss with the line manager

Prerequisites:

• Proficient with the English language and excellent communication and interpersonal skill
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance

Experience:

Minimum 4-5 years of working experience in R2R processes and financial reporting

Education:

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Knowledge of IFRS and GAAP standards
