Roles and Responsibilities

• Assists Principal in planning, implementation, monitoring & evaluation of the educational programmes of the college.
• Assists Principal in identifying needs for professional development of faculty & facilitates staff development programme.
• Identify the present needs related to educational programme.
• Select & organizes learning experiences.
• Assists in conducting admission procedures & final University examinations.
• Acts as a member of various committees in the absence of Principal & chair the assigned committee meetings.
• Supervises clinical experience of all educational programmes with coordinators
• Review student progress reports, activities & offers good academic guidance.
• Guides & monitors students cumulative record for all the educational programmes, maintained by respective programme coordinators.
• Guides faculty in day-to-day academic activities of all educational programmes.
• Conducts orientation programme for the new faculty members.
• Assists Principal in administration & supervision of college activity.
• Assists Principal in maintaining discipline in the college.
• Share responsibility with Principal in identifying conflicts among staff members & initiates solution, consult & inform when necessary.
• Facilitates guidance & counselling services to students as per need.
• Inform parents about student status & reviews reports of student performance.
• Promotes continuous growth & development.
• To act as mentor to the colleagues.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.

Duties & Responsibilities

Within the scope of college policies and procedures, this position;

Provides leadership and administrative oversight for faculty, staff, and programs in the areas of workforce and career education in the disciplines of Nursing;

Evaluates and ensures quality in all aspects of instructional programs and staff;

Engages faculty and staff participation in support of educational priorities, e.g. program development, program review, curriculum and articulation

initiatives, assessment of student learning outcomes and learning college initiatives;

Prepares program needs, analyses designed to identify unmet student needs and to recommend new initiatives designed to prepare students as lifelong learners;

Provides day-to-day oversight of education culture to ensure a student-centered, learner-centered environment at all levels;

Serves as spokesperson for issues pertaining to Nursing;

Resolves student issues and complaints in a timely manner;

Communicates and interprets policies and procedures;

Serves as a liaison between the university, faculty, staff & management;

Plans, develops, implements and evaluates educational programs and services to achieve the goals of a learning college;

Develops and oversees instructional budgets, class schedules, classroom and facilities utilization and coordinates programs and services with other college personnel;

Serves on various college committees, advisory boards, and task forces and represents the college on local, regional, and state activities as needed;

Performs related duties as assigned.
