Job Description

Supply chain management involves activities right from procurement of materials and co-ordinating for converting them into finished goods to ensure delivery at the right time with required quality to entire satisfaction of client. Hence, supply chain management is the lifeline of an organization. A streamlined supply chain management enhances customer relationships and lower down operational costs.
SCM manager is required particularly for procurement activities of pipe ube\fitting\forging for large projects.
He should be familiar with technical specifications \ costing \ vendors in India & Globally for those items.
Need to have good knowledge of products, INCO terms , negotiation skills , expediting skills
Clear understanding of terms Letter of Credit \ Bank Guarantees \ commercial terms required.
Interpersonal relations should be good to deal with different departments - Engg.\QA\shop.
Should be proficient is SAP and should have knowledge of computer operations.
Should be ready to move to vendors place as and when required for expediting the supplies.
Skills being looked at are Ability to work in teams, Learning agility , Good verbal and written communicators , business acumen, Market analysis , negotiation skills .
