Position: Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) Design

Position Summary

ASSA ABLOY is seeking highly motivated engineering graduates for the Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) - Design position at our Jamnagar plant (Shree Mahavir Metalcraft Pvt. Ltd.). As a GET in the Design Department, you will undergo structured training to develop technical and design skills. This role offers hands-on experience in product design and development for architectural hardware solutions. Upon successful completion of the training program, candidates may be considered for full-time employment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize, design, and develop innovative products in the Design Department.
• Utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Creo for product design and modifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, R&D, and Quality Assurance to ensure feasibility and manufacturability of designs.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings, 3D models, and documentation for product development.
• Apply principles of material selection, cost optimization, and ergonomic design in product development.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions, problem-solving exercises, and design reviews for continuous product improvement.
• Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in product design.
• Support prototype development, testing, and validation processes.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Industrial Design from an accredited institution.
• Strong knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, etc.).
• Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is preferred.
