ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT IV

The fixed asset accountant is part of the GBS fixed asset team and reports to the Manager in Hyderabad.

This position reports to the Fixed Assets Accounting supervisor which team is working in the US time zone.

The main activities & objectives:

Ensure qualitative and timely accounting and reporting of fixed assets for both US GAAP and Tax books.

Detailed fixed asset activities:

• Knowledge of lease accounting
• Project System Accounting (Opening and Closing of Projects)
• Perform monthly inactivity review for Capital Projects
• Document and post Retirements and Inter Company asset transfer according to SOX compliance.
• Perform Fixed Assets Reconciliations and schedules in both US GAAP & Tax books.
• Follow up on Asset Master Changes
• Execute Depreciation Runs, WBS settlements and CO-PA transfers.
• Support Auditors and Controllers with Fixed Assets Reporting
• Perform SOX Controls in the area of Fixed Assets
• Assist on ad hoc requests Engineering and equipment group for Capital Projects

Your experience/education is:

• International recognized degree in accounting
• At least 4-6 years of experience in accounting or similar
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Experience with SAP
• Be more than an average user of excel and access (formula s and macros)
