AS400 Developer - RPG/COBOL (2-3 yrs)

Role : AS/400 Developer (COBOL, RPG, DB2)

You will play a key role in the analysis, design, development, and maintenance of critical business applications on the AS/400 platform. We are looking for a passionate developer with a strong foundation in AS/400 languages and a desire to contribute to a collaborative and innovative environment.

Responsibilities :

- Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, design, estimation, development, testing, and deployment.

- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand functional and non-functional requirements.

- Create technical documents like impact analysis documents and understanding documents.

- Develop detailed technical specifications for new functionalities and enhancements.

- Develop new programs and implement enhancements to existing functionalities using COBOL, RPG IV, RPGLE, and CLLE.

- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.

- Prepare unit test plans, execute unit testing, and participate in integration testing.

- Perform impact analysis, code modifications, and unit testing for reported incidents.

- Document all changes made to programs for future reference and maintainability.

- Work effectively with DB2/400 to manage and manipulate data.

Technical Skills :

Essential : Programming Languages: CLLE, RPGLE, RPG IV, SQLRPGLE, CLP

Database : DB2/400

AS/400 Technologies : Display Subfile, Printer File

Desired :

Programming Languages: CL/400, RPG/400, COBOL (additional experience is a plus)

Tools : SDA, RLU, PDM, SEU, SQL/400, QUERY/400

Experience : 2-3 years of experience as an AS/400 developer
