Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant to support our client remotely. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in SAP ABAP development, specifically in implementing controls for invoice and journal voucher (JV) booking in SAP. Additionally, prior experience in the development of a purchase register for India-specific tax requirements is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities :

- Provide remote support for implementing controls during the booking of invoices and journal vouchers (JVs) in SAP.

- Develop and enhance ABAP programs related to the purchase register, ensuring compliance with India-specific tax requirements.

- Collaborate with functional teams to understand business processes and translate them into technical specifications.

- Create technical documentation for all developed solutions and ensure adherence to best practices.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP ABAP programs and integrations.

- Conduct testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure smooth deployment of solutions.

- Provide support and training to end-users as required.

Requirements :

- 6-8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.

Technical Skills :

- Strong expertise in ABAP programming, including reports, forms, module pool, and enhancements.

- Experience in developing purchase registers and handling India-specific tax scenarios (GST, TDS, etc.).

- Knowledge of BAPI, BADI, User Exits, and enhancement frameworks.

Functional Skills :

- Understanding of Finance (FI) and Material Management (MM) modules.

- Experience in implementing controls for invoice and JV postings.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams and clients.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience working in an SAP environment for clients in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing sectors.

- SAP certification in ABAP or related modules.
