Ascra Technologies - Python Developer - Django Framework (5-7 yrs)

Job Title : Senior Python Developer (Django REST Framework, Celery, Docker, AWS)

Location : Remote

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and secure applications using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework (DRF).

- Design and implement Celery tasks for background job processing and asynchronous workflows.

- Work with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.) to deploy, scale, and manage applications.

- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code that adheres to industry best practices and security standards.

- Utilize Docker for containerization and orchestration of microservices.

- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate with React or React Native applications, ensuring seamless communication between the backend and frontend.

- Apply software engineering principles to ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of applications.

- Conduct code reviews, provide mentorship, and share knowledge with junior developers to help them grow in their careers.

- Stay current with industry trends and new technologies, incorporating them into development practices when appropriate.

- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

Skills and Qualifications :

- 5-7 years of experience in Python development, with a focus on backend technologies and frameworks such as Django and Django REST Framework.

- Strong knowledge and experience with Celery for background processing and task management.

- Expertise in Docker for containerization and creating efficient development workflows.

- Extensive experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).

- Deep understanding of security best practices and how to implement them in web applications (e.g., data protection, authentication, authorization).

- Ability to write clean, modular, and maintainable code using best practices like unit testing, continuous integration, and version control.

- Familiarity with React or React Native for frontend development is a valuable asset.

- Experience in working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
