Production Manager Polymer Compounding

Job Summary:

As a Production Manager with Degree in Production Engineering / Polymer Engineering or equivalent Engineering Field, you will play a Key role in leading and executing production activity. You will lead Production Team and support initiatives aimed at reducing waste, improving quality, and optimizing processes, ultimately contributing to our company's overall performance and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides direction and directives to the department staff in the performance of their duties, establishing work priorities and initiatives that support the business objectives.
• Implement culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the production department.
• Manage and allocate resources effectively, including labor, equipment, and materials to meet production targets.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, waste reduction, and cost savings with respect optimization in throughout, change of raw material, better yield, lower energy consumption, packaging changes, downtime reduction for maintenance and changeover activity.
• Establish best practices are followed throughout production activities.
• Manage Translation project in shop floor to ensure transfer of product from NPD to Operation with compliance of CTQ requirement.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards in all production activities.
• Implement and oversee quality control measures to ensure the consistent production of high- quality products.
• Work closely with the Quality Assurance team and Technical Service Team to provide guidelines to eliminate quality deviations, identify inefficiency in production process and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of production equipment.
• Lead the commissioning, pre-commissioning, and startup activities for new installations at Production shop floor, ensuring all systems and processes are functioning optimally before full-scale operations.
• Reporting to senior management on production status, challenges, and achievements.
• Prepare and Review MIS (Variance reports) and Management review presentations.Role & responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications, Requirements and Skills:

• B-Tech/M Sc/ M-Tech Polymer / Chemical /Production Engineering ; or Equivalent Degree in Engineering field .
• MBA in Operation / Strategic / Business preferred.
• 10 Years of Experience in similar Role and Experience in Compounding Industry.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP software. Knowledge of Microsoft power BI tool is Plus.
• Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
• Knowledge of Statistical process control desired.
• Project Management Experience is preferred. Certification in PMP is Plus
• Certification of Internal Auditor for standard ISO9001 / ISO14001 /IATF16949 is required.
• Strong knowledge of Equipment used in compounding process like Feeder, Blender, Extruder, Pelletizer and Material conveying system.
• Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
• Six Sigma Black Belt certification is beneficial.
