Project Coordinator For Bridge Construction Projects

The Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in bridging communication and operations between the head office and site offices for bridge construction projects. This role involves ensuring efficient coordination, resource management, and project tracking to achieve quality, safety, and timely completion of project milestones. Regular site visits will be required to monitor progress, resolve issues, and maintain alignment with project objectives.

Role & responsibilities -

1. Coordination and Communication:

• Serve as the primary liaison between the head office and site teams.
• Communicate project updates, instructions, and policies effectively across all stakeholders.
• Facilitate regular meetings and provide clear, actionable feedback.

2. Project Planning and Monitoring:

• Assist in preparing project schedules, milestones, and detailed plans.
• Track progress against project timelines and highlight potential delays.
• Ensure proper documentation of project-related activities, including approvals and revisions.

3. Site Visits and Progress Monitoring:

• Conduct regular site visits to inspect construction progress, ensure compliance with standards, and address any on-site issues.
• Verify that construction activities align with project drawings, specifications, and timelines.
• Provide real-time feedback to both head office and site teams on any deviations or challenges.

4. Resource Management:

• Coordinate the procurement and timely delivery of materials and equipment to site locations.
• Monitor resource utilization at the site and adjust allocations as necessary.
• Ensure the workforce at the site is adequately supported with tools and guidance.

5. Quality Assurance and Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to construction quality standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
• Collaborate with quality control teams to organize site inspections and audits.
• Address non-conformance issues promptly and recommend corrective actions.

6. Reporting and Documentation:

• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly progress reports to management and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of project documentation, including drawings, permits, and communications.
• Track and report on project expenditures to support budget management.

7. Risk and Issue Resolution:

• Identify risks that could impact project timelines or budgets and propose mitigation strategies.
• Support the resolution of on-site issues, including technical challenges and logistical delays.
• Escalate critical concerns to senior management with actionable recommendations.

Preferred candidate profile -

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering .
• 14 to 17 years of project coordination experience, ideally in bridge construction or similar infrastructure projects.
