We are seeking an experienced Category Manager to lead procurement and category management for the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) segment. This buy-side role demands a strategic professional capable of managing supplier relationships, optimizing procurement processes, and ensuring a robust and competitive FMCG portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess deep industry knowledge, exceptional negotiation skills, and the ability to drive growth through strategic category planning.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement category strategies for the FMCG segment based on market trends, consumer needs, and business objectives.

- Identify and build a reliable, cost-effective supplier network, negotiating favorable terms, and fostering strong partnerships.

- Monitor supplier performance using KPIs such as delivery accuracy, product quality, and cost efficiency.

- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand, plan procurement schedules, and ensure effective inventory management.

- Conduct market research to stay abreast of pricing trends, competitor activity, and supplier innovations.

- Ensure consistent product availability while minimizing excess inventory and stockouts.

- Drive cost-saving initiatives and optimize procurement processes without compromising quality.

- Evaluate category performance and adjust strategies to achieve business goals and enhance growth.

Required Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field; MBA preferred.

- Experience: 5+ years in category management, procurement, or merchandising, ideally in the FMCG or retail sector.

Skills:

- Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier management capabilities.

- Comprehensive knowledge of the FMCG market, including sourcing trends, quality standards, and supplier dynamics.
