Job Description
Fabric Development Assistance:
- Support the product development team in designing and prototyping new knit fabric concepts.
- Conduct research on trends, textures, and knitting techniques to contribute to innovative fabric ideas.
Material Selection:
- Assist in selecting appropriate yarns and materials for fabric development projects.
- Coordinate with suppliers to source and evaluate raw materials.
Sampling and Testing:
- Help create fabric samples and participate in the testing process to ensure quality and durability.
- Analyze sample feedback and suggest necessary modifications.
Process Coordination:
- Work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure prototypes align with design specifications.
- Observe knitting processes to learn about machine settings, operations, and troubleshooting.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of fabric designs, specifications, and test results.
- Prepare and present reports on assigned projects to the product development team.
Customer Interaction:
- Assist in preparing and delivering fabric samples to customers.
- Gather and document customer feedback for design and quality improvement.
Learning and Development:
- Participate in training programs to gain knowledge about fabric construction, yarn properties, and knitting technologies.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in knit fabrics and textiles.
