Inventory Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Accounting:
• Accounting and monitor accurate inventory records at head office.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
2. Vendor Reconciliation:
• Verify and reconcile vendor accounts, ensuring timely payments and accurate statements.
• Maintain records of purchases, returns, and payments related to vendors.
• Address any discrepancies or disputes with vendors professionally.
3. Karigar (Artisan) Reconciliation:
• Maintain accounts for karigars, tracking gold, silver, gemstones, and other raw materials issued and received.
• Reconcile karigar work completion with issued materials and payments.
• Ensure timely and accurate settlement of karigar dues.
4. Reporting & Analysis:
• Prepare regular inventory valuation reports and provide insights into stock movement.
• Collaborate with the finance team to align inventory data with financial statements.
5. Process Improvement:
• Implement best practices to streamline inventory and reconciliation processes.
• Suggest and implement controls to minimize wastage, theft, or loss.
6. Compliance & Documentation:
• Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and statutory compliance.
• Maintain thorough and up-to-date documentation of all inventory and account-related activities.
