Accountant

GST (Goods and Services Tax) :

Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR 1, GSTR 3B, GSTR 9, etc.) on time.

Reconcile GST payments and credits.

Ensure proper documentation for all GST-related transactions.

Coordinate with internal teams to ensure GST compliance on purchase and sale transactions.

Handle GST audits and resolve any discrepancies.

TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) :

Calculate and deduct TDS as per the applicable rates.

Timely deposit of TDS to government accounts.

File TDS returns (Form 24Q, 26Q, etc.) within the prescribed due dates.

Reconcile TDS records and ensure proper documentation.

Address any notices or queries from the Income Tax Department regarding TDS.

Payments Returns :

Ensure timely payment of various taxes (GST, TDS, Income Tax, etc.).

Manage and track vendor payments and reconcile accounts.

Prepare and submit tax-related returns as per the statutory requirements.

Income Tax Returns (ITR) :

Assist in the preparation and filing of ITR for individuals, partnerships, and companies.

Ensure compliance with the Income Tax Act and applicable laws.

Maintain accurate records and documents related to tax filings.

Data Entry :

Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in accounting software.

Update ledgers, journals, and other financial records.

Maintain proper documentation for all entries, payments, and receipts.

Vendor Management :

Maintain and update vendor master records.

Ensure timely reconciliation of vendor accounts and resolve any discrepancies.

Review and verify vendor invoices before processing payments.

Handle communication with vendors regarding payments, outstanding balances, and disputes.

Negotiate payment terms and conditions with vendors, as needed.

Compliance Reporting :

Ensure adherence to all financial regulations and compliance requirements.

Assist in audits and liaise with auditors to provide necessary information.

Prepare financial statements and reports for management review.

Skills Qualifications:

Education: Bachelordegree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or similar certification is a plus.

Experience: 4-5 years in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial reporting, with proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, etc.
