This person will be responsible for an overview of accounts of the organizations entities and would include establishing best-in-class processes and systems for the efficient and risk-free functioning of the organization. Implemented processes should be confirming to regulatory and financial standards across. Provide support to growth opportunities in synergy with existing accounting and legal framework.
Location : Mumbai
Critical Tasks:
Processes & Systems - Establish best-in-class IT-enabled financial systems and processes wherever required, check system anomalies, and provide corrective courses of action.
Planning & Budgeting - Adhere to long-term budgetary planning and cost management objectives and principles. Oversee and lead annual planning and budgeting process with other key operations team members. Review all financial plans and budgets, monitor progress and changes, and inform management at critical junctures.
Accounting & Reporting - Lead and direct a team of professionals for timely and accurate preparation of organisations financial reports, such as income and expenditure/profit and loss accounts, balance sheet, management financial reports, and regulatory reports and filings and presenting them to management and Board as required. Consolidate results across business and verticals as required. Identify innovative means for cost reduction, efficiency improvement, strengthening systems and process and building leadership capabilities across team members.
Audit, Risk Management and Compliance - Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors. Assess recommendations and make necessary changes. Establish internal process control norms and adequate checks. Safeguarding organisation existing assets and de-risking new projects. Compliance on all Accounting & legal standards and regulatory requirements.
Managing Internal & External Stakeholders - Continuous engagement with Internal and external stakeholders for collaborating on key strategic initiatives and activities such as Internal Audit, Business Vertical Finance, taxation, Bankers, Legal Counsels etc .
Team Leadership -Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop financial staff to ensure the organizations accounting activities are conducted accurately, ethically, consistently and according to relevant regulations, laws, and standards.
Decision-making authority (Decisions expected)
Educational Background and Work Experience
CA of at least 13 years of total Work Experience out of which 5 years in Foundation (preferably Corporate Foundation) is mandatory
Proficient analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills
Should have good communication and leadership skills to interface with key business stakeholders
Ability to connect and work with a team and stakeholders across various businesses.
Knowledge of SAP and Tally
Competencies
Analytical with the ability to visualize trends
Proactive Risk management and mitigation skills
Good Communication and networking skills
Ability to work under tight deadlines and high pressure under dynamic situations
