Their programs are executed in close coordination with state governments, local partners, and academic institutes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning and Implementation
Develop and execute strategic plans for waste management projects, providing data-driven insights to facilitate accurate decision-making.
2. Community Engagement and Needs Assessments
Conduct community needs assessments for waste management projects, empowering community stakeholders and ensuring their active participation.
3. Partnership Coordination
Effectively coordinate with partnering organizations to ensure the successful execution of waste management projects, maintaining clear and consistent communication.
4.Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting
Monitor and evaluate project activities, ensuring they meet defined objectives. Document and report on project progress in a clear and comprehensible manner, contributing to the annual report. Experience in scaling programs in multiple locations and managing budgets.(Managing Budget)
5. Government Liaison and Networking
Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with government agencies and like-minded organizations to support waste management initiatives.
6.Development of Sustainable Processes
Oversee the development and implementation of sustainable waste management processes, including supply chain management and waste facility operations. Explore innovative technologies and ensure adherence to best practices in waste management.
Qualifications:
A Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant field, such as Social Sciences, International Development, or Business Administration
At least 6 years of experience in program management or related fields, preferably in the area of corporate social responsibility
Strong knowledge of social and environmental issues, and experience working on programs related to education, health, environment, or community development
The candidate should be willing to travel as it involves extensive fieldwork.
Should know implementation of Solid Waste Management projects in Rural-Urban Local Bodies, plastic waste management & come up with innovative ideas for waste management.
Well-versed in Community-level engagement, capacity building, and IEC for waste management (This is the primary focus of program) & MRF setup and operations
