Eligibility

• General Life Sciences Students

An aggregate of 60 % or an equivalent grade in Masters from an institution / university recognized by

UGC / respective regulatory body, in any of the following :

1 year / 2 semester Masters Degree, after a 4 year / 8 semester Bachelors Degree program

2 year / 4 semester Masters Degree after 3 year / 6 semester Bachelors Degree program

2 year / 4 semester Masters Degree after 4 year / 8 semester Bachelors Degree program

An aggregate of 75 % or an equivalent grade, in 4 year / 8 semester Bachelors Degree program, from an institution / university recognized by UGC / respective regulatory body

PhD applicants with bachelor degree are eligible to apply under full time category only.

• Medicine & Dentistry Students

An aggregate of 60 % or an equivalent grade in,

MBBS / BDS program of at least 5-years duration OR MD / MS / MDS from an institution recognized by National Medical Council (NMC)

(erstwhile Medical Council of India (MCI)) / Dental Council of India (DCI)

• Pharmacy Students

An aggregate of 60 % or an equivalent grade, in Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD or PharmD Post Baccalaureate), from an institution / university recognized by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI)

Selection Criteria

• For Applicants having Valid National Fellowships:

UGC / CSIR NET JRF / ICMR JRF / DBT JRF / JEST / INSPIRE / NDF*.

Selection to the PhD program under this category would be done by interview with a

panel of experts (*Applicants working in Projects in AERF and without National Level Scholarship will be exempted from entrance exam if they have GATE/CSIR (NET Lectureships)

• Applicants who are self financed Full-Time Ph.D. (Self Financed)

Selection will be based on an entrance exam to evaluate knowledge in core subject and research aptitude, followed by interview
