Commissioning Engineer

About the role:

Commissioning Engineer should have a knowledge of Marine Electrical Automation troubleshooting and repair

Responsibilities:

• Experience in marine/offshore background to fulfil the role of Electrical/Electronic service/commissioning engineer.
• Demonstrate extensive experience in fault finding, servicing, repair, retrofitting, and commissioning of shipboard and oil & gas electrical Power and automation systems.
• Conduct fault finding, repair, servicing, and testing of main and auxiliary equipment including power generation, distribution, switchgear, propulsion, vessel automation, control systems, and instrumentation.
• Execute planned maintenance, overhauls, upgrades, and retrofits as necessary on E&I equipments.
• Lead the commissioning and setting to work of new and upgraded systems.
• Collaborate closely with the engineering department to plan, design, and deliver both new and retrofit solutions.
• Provide training and mentorship to team members.
• Maintain a self-motivated and dynamic approach, prioritizing safety at all times.
• Conduct fault finding, repair, servicing, and testing of main and auxiliary equipment including power generation, distribution, switchgear, propulsion, vessel automation, control systems, and instrumentation.
• Develop service work plans, encompassing scheduling and spare parts procurement to ensure successful service visits.
• Provide training and mentorship to team members.
• Possess knowledge and hands-on skills in Power Management Systems (DIEF/SYMAP/SIEMENS or equivalent).
• Additional proficiency in PLC and HMI systems, particularly Siemens or equivalent, is advantageous

Candidate requirements:

• Diploma, B-Tech (Electrical, Electronics)
• Additional proficiency in PLC and HMI systems, particularly Siemens or equivalent, is advantageous
• Strong written/verbal English communication skills in (English and Hindi)
