Sr. Structural Designer

About the role:

Sr. Structural Designer should work as team leader of a drafting team, should be able to communicate with project Engg. and execute the project with the help of drafting team, job planning for drafting team, guide a team of designers/draftsmen to prepare Layouts and basic drawings for marine/offshore steel structures and Ship structures (Like Hull, equipment foundations, lifting arrangement, mooring/towing arrangement). Checking of drawings to ensure the maximum drawing quality and optimization.

Knowledge & skill requirement:

• Experience in leading a team of designers/draftsmen
• Should be well versed in design drawings of marine/offshore structures
• Knowledge of steel MTO preparation
• Should be proficient in good communication skills and multitasking capability.
• Should be able to check the drawings in detail from the perspective of engineering, construction feasibility and the drafting quality.
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Well versed with 2-D drafting related software
• Proven understanding of Microsoft Office software, particularly Microsoft Excel

Qualification:

• Diploma (Civil, Mech or equivalent)
