Job Responsibilities

Argano is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to oversee India payroll operations. This role is crucial in ensuring that payroll is processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with local and international labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in processing India payroll, a strong understanding of statutory compliance, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams, including Finance, HR, and third-party payroll providers. The Payroll Manager will also be responsible for streamlining payroll processes, implementing automation strategies, and ensuring a seamless payroll experience for employees worldwide. In this role, you will lead payroll operations, manage vendor relationships, drive process improvements, and support audits and financial reporting requirements. A deep understanding of payroll technology, data accuracy, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance is essential to succeed in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage end-to-end payroll processing across India.

Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, labor laws, and company policies.

Partner with HR, Finance, and external payroll providers to streamline processes.

Maintain payroll data accuracy, handle audits, and resolve discrepancies.

Lead payroll system enhancements and automation initiatives that are applicable in your geography.

Provide payroll-related reports and insights for management.

Qualifications Skills:

5+ years of experience in processing and leading payroll in India.

Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance.

Proficiency in payroll software HRIS systems (ADP Vista, Celergo and Oracle HCM)

Strong working knowledge of Excel.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to manage vendor relationships and handle confidential data with integrity.
