Job Description

As an Architect, you will help drive innovative solutions for our rapidly growing suite of platform components and services which power Akamais cloud compute offerings.

As an Architect, you will be responsible for:

Creating end-to-end architectural designs, focusing on meeting defined objectives around availability, reliability, performance, security, and scalability.
Collaborating with development teams to implement designs.
Socializing and building consensus around architectural decisions to provide stable and secure platforms.
Designing solutions for software and configuration deployments, database, control plane, and platform security.

Do what you love

Have 8 years development/architecture experience and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or its equivalent.
Have a good understanding of architectural principles, such as scaling, reliability, performance, security, and their implementations.
Understand how cloud compute technologies, including hypervisors, containers, auto-scaling, and virtual networks work.
Have programming (e.g,. Perl, Python, JS, Java) skills to help prototype new product ideas and concepts.
Possess knowledge of Kubernetes and Service Mesh architectures is a plus
Have good written and verbal communication skills
