Job Description
- Good understanding and Knowledge on international codes like DMRB, AASHTO, and Euro codes along with various other International Codal Practices and Standards, Design Standards of Local County Councils
- Highway Drainage Design experience using Civil 3D and good expertise in 3D modelling for proposals and Detail design projects.
- Roadway Drainage Design for various stages of Design Build Projects - Detailed design of Roadway corridor, Detailed drawings, construction support-drawings, Design Reviews, Project Management, Design Management.
- Experience in MS Office software including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Read, write and speaks -English.
- Responsible for end-to-end project design and delivery for Highway Drainage related tasks.
- Preparation / Finalization of various highway related drawings at various stages of projects.
- Computation of quantities. Preparation of design basis reports. Ability to understand existing condition reports and surveys.
- Should have handled minimum of 3-4 Design projects-overseas preferably for UK in Infrastructure Business.
- Should have worked for UK Projects and must be conversant with DBRB specifications and standards.
- Education - Graduation - B.Tech/B.E. - Civil or Post Graduation - Water resource/ Environment or Civil.
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience in a Design Consulting Environment Strong understanding of DMRB codes
- Design Software - Drainage design software like Micro Drainage/Info Drainage/Storm Cad/12D or other relevant drainage design software s
- BIM Software - Civil 3D and AutoCAD. MX, Infraworks and Navisworks would be added advantage.
- Delivered at least one major project for the UK Lead region in an Assistant lead role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English), including technical report writing.
- Organized and proactive (self- starter).
- Knowledge of Programming (LISP, VBA, .NET, C, C++) is added advantage

Arcadis is a very fast changing work environment. Adapts to new practices very fast.
Not a good company for engineers as mostly CAD jobs are done here. One will be expected to work on any domain irrespective of their domain and experties.
