Job Description
- Design Engineer (Road Drainage) - Designing of drainage networks and 3D modelling should have good proficiency in various drainage software s and Autodesk tools such as Civil 3D, Infraworks, Navisworks, etc
- Will have to carry out design and production Highway drainage design, 3D Modelling, CAD production and quantities with minimum support
- Experience on Major Highways/ Land Development/ Railway drainage Projects - concept design, Alternative Technical Concepts and detailed design of project
- Should have handled Design - Build projects for any of international projects
- Specific UK experience is most desirable
- Responsible for end-to-end project design and delivery for road Drainage related tasks.
- Preparation / Finalization of various road related drawings at various stages of projects.
- Computation of quantities.
- Preparation of design basis reports.
- Ability to understand existing condition reports and surveys.
- Should have handled minimum of 3-4 Design projects-overseas preferably for US in Infrastructure Business.
- Road Drainage Design experience using Civil 3D and good expertise in 3D modelling for proposals and Detail design projects.
- Roadway Drainage Design for various stages of Design Build Projects - Detailed design of Roadway corridor, Detailed drawings, construction support-drawings, Design Reviews, Project Management, Design Management.
- Experience in MS Office software including Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
- Read, write and speaks -English.
- Software: Navisworks, Infraworks, Open Roads, MicroDrainage, Storm CADD
- Excellent Soft Skills related to People Management (desirable)
- Strong mentoring Skills - Ability to build teams (desirable)
- Education - Graduation - B.Tech/B.E. - Civil and Post Graduation - Water resource/ Environment or Civil .
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience in a Design Consulting Environment
- Strong understanding of DMRB codes
- Design Software - like Storm CADD/Civil Storm/Open Road (Drainage), HECRAS, HY8, Flow Master, Culvert Master, Ponds Pack, MicroDrainage Info Drainage 12D or other relevant drainage design software s and its applications
- BIM Software - Civil 3D and AutoCad. MicroStation, Infraworks and Navisworks would be added advantage.
- Delivered at least one major project for the UK Lead region in an Assistant lead role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English), including technical report writing.
- Organized and proactive (self- starter).
- Knowledge of Programming (LISP, VBA, .Net, C, C++) is added advantage

Arcadis is a very fast changing work environment. Adapts to new practices very fast.
Not a good company for engineers as mostly CAD jobs are done here. One will be expected to work on any domain irrespective of their domain and experties.
