Financial Analyst 1

Role Overview

As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving financial insights, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, and supporting key business decisions for our clients. You will work closely with accounting teams to deliver timely and actionable financial analyses and reports.

Your contributions will directly impact strategic initiatives, enhance decision-making processes, and support compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and financial modeling, to support business objectives
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, forecasts, and dashboards for management and stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business performance and identify key drivers of financial results and communicate with the clients
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes by ensuring the accuracy of financial data and preparing required documentation
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, including the development of financial models and scenario planning
• Monitor and ensure compliance with accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and company policies
• Provide decision support through ad hoc financial analysis and strategic recommendations
• Develop and improve processes to enhance the quality and efficiency of financial reporting and analysis
• Participate in external audits by preparing key documentation and addressing audit inquiries
• Leverage tools like Arbo, Excel, ERP systems, and data visualization platforms to improve financial reporting capabilities

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (CPA/CA certification is a plus)
• 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis, controllership, accounting, or related fields
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to connect financial data to business drivers
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with tools like QBO, Tableau, or similar ERP/analytical platforms
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence and collaborate across teams
• Ability to work independently in a matrixed environment and handle ambiguity effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, or other relevant accounting standards.
• Experience in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, macros)
• Exposure to audit processes or working with auditors is a plus
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and their application in financial reporting
