Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
- Optimize SQL code for performance and scalability.
- Design and implement database schemas and tables.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues.
- Perform data migration and ETL processes.
- Collaborate with developers to integrate database solutions with applications.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through testing and validation.
- Document database designs and code.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest SQL Server technologies and best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development processes.
- Understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-6 years of proven experience as a SQL Developer.
- Strong understanding of relational database concepts and SQL language (T-SQL, PL/SQL, or similar).
- Experience with database design and normalization.
- Proficiency in writing complex queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with ETL processes and tools (e.g., SSIS, Informatica).
- Knowledge of database administration tasks (e.g., backups, restores).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Preferred Qualifications (Optional):
- Experience with specific database platforms (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases.
- Experience with cloud-based database services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, AWS RDS).
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and techniques.
- Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
