Software Development Engineer - Test (3-5 yrs)

Job Title : AI SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test).

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced AI Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with expertise in Python and Node.js to ensure the quality, performance, and scalability of AI-driven applications.

You will be responsible for developing and executing automated testing frameworks to validate AI learning models, APIs, and backend services. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of both AI/ML concepts and full-stack development using Python and Node.js, along with expertise in automation testing.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Experience : 3+ years of experience in software development and test automation using Python and Node.js.

Programming Skills :

- Strong proficiency in Python, particularly in the context of AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.

- Strong experience in Node.js for backend development, including RESTful APIs and microservices.

- Hands-on experience with automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, PyTest, Mocha, or Chai.

- AI/ML Knowledge : Understanding of machine learning concepts and experience with model evaluation, validation, and testing.

- Automation Expertise : Experience in building and maintaining test automation frameworks, especially for Python and Node.js applications.

- Backend API Testing : Familiarity with tools like Postman, Newman, or REST Assured for API testing.

- Performance Testing : Experience with performance and load testing tools like JMeter, Locust, or k6.

Soft Skills :

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

- Ability to work in an agile environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Key Technology to focus on :

- Python Testing : Experience with frameworks like PyTest, Unittest, or Behave for automating AI model and data pipeline testing.

- Node.js Testing : Hands-on experience with Mocha, Chai, Jest, or Supertest for testing Node.js-based services and APIs.

- UI Testing : Experience with Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright for end-to-end testing of web interfaces interacting with AI services.

- API Testing : Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman, Newman, or REST Assured for automating the testing of Node.js RESTful APIs.
