Position Overview:Goldcast is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Finance to oversee all aspects of our global financial operations spanning the US and India, including investor reporting, compliance, and accounting. This role is critical to maintaining our financial health and ensuring operational excellence across multiple geographies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and adept at managing both high-level strategy and day-to-day finance functions.
As the Director of Finance, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, external advisors, and investors to drive financial planning and analysis, compliance, and cash flow management. You ll also play a key role in maintaining investor relationships and supporting the companys growth trajectory through accurate reporting and strategic insights.
What You ll Do:Global Investor Reporting
Manage monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc financial reporting for investors across the US and India.
Utilize tools like Standardmetrics.io and Visible.vc for reporting.
Handle ad hoc requests, such as audit confirmations, cap table management, and other investor inquiries.
Ensure timely and accurate communication with stakeholders via email.
Financial Planning Analysis (FPA)
Lead the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting cycles.
Track and analyze key SaaS metrics (ARR, MRR, CAC, LTV, churn, etc.) and provide actionable insights.
Prepare Management Information System (MIS) reports and conduct flux analyses to identify trends and variances.
Global Cap Table Management
Oversee cap table updates, including processing stock grants for board approval and updating terminations in Mantle.
Collaborate with legal teams and key stakeholders to maintain accuracy and compliance.
Taxation, Payroll, and Compliance (US and India)
Ensure compliance with US and India regulations, including but not limited to:
Tax audits, transfer pricing, GST, TDS, sales tax, ROC, FEMA, RBI, PF, PT, and payroll compliance.
Oversee RD tax credit applications and money remittance compliance between US and India.
Administer payroll compliance for India and manage external consultants and tax advisors.
Global Accounting and Financial Close
Oversee accounting operations for US and India, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
Prepare income statements, balance sheets, and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
Consolidate financials across entities and coordinate with external auditors.
Cash Management and Treasury
Oversee accounting operations for the US and India, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
Prepare income statements, balance sheets, and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
Consolidate financials across entities and coordinate with external auditors.
Cash Management and Treasury
Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash flow planning.
Oversee liquidity planning and ensure proper management of Brex cards and bank accounts.
Operational and Strategic Tasks
Manage insurance policies for the US and India, coordinating with brokers and ensuring coverage meets organizational needs.
Oversee sales, customer success, and other team commissions.
Prepare accounting memos for critical financial issues.
Ensure compliance with shareholder agreements and debt covenants.
Provide financial data for board decks, all-hands meetings, and other strategic initiatives.
10+ years of experience in finance, with expertise in global FPA, compliance, and investor relations. Experience in SaaS, high-growth startups, or banking is a strong advantage.
Proficiency in financial tools like QBO, Zoho Books, and GAAP compliance.
Strong knowledge of US and India taxation and payroll compliance, including cross-border remittance laws.
Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and external advisors across geographies.
Exceptional ability to analyze SaaS metrics and provide strategic insights.
Experience with financial tools such as Anrok, Deel, Justworks, Brex, and similar platforms.
Familiarity with SaaS reporting tools like Visible.vc .
Excellent communication skills for managing investor relationships and presenting to stakeholders.
