Scrub Nurse (Ortho)

Role & responsibilities :

• Assisting Clinician during procedures. Provide assistance in clinical/ operative procedures.
• Ensuring sterility and safety is maintained before, during, and after the procedure
• Collaborating with the circulating nurse in monitoring vitals and communicating with family members throughout the perioperative period
• Documenting surgical details of the patients
• Prepare patients for clinical/ operative procedures
• Performing postoperative needle, sponge, and instrument counts
• Coordinate the use of supplies and equipment during the operating list, ensuring the equipment is used in an appropriate and safe manner
• Monitor, order, receive and check stock items including consumables, equipment and drugs.
