Senior Lab Specialist

Role & responsibilities

1. Develop plans and administers the technical and administrative activities of the lab.

2. Plans for the effective and efficient scheduling and utilization of personnel resources, equipment and supplies.

3. Manages the Quality Assurance Program, reviews standards and quality control of technical procedures and monitors records for all quality control and proficiency testing.

4. Assess the value of new procedures, products and equipment for utilization by the laboratory.

5. Recommends on the selection of laboratory equipment and supplies.

6. Keep in contact with customers, for all complaints and recommendations.

7. Evaluates the performance of subordinate employees.

8. Plans, administer and enforce appropriate policies, procedures and practices.

9. Selection of test methodology appropriate for the clinical use of the test results.

10. Identifying training needs and assuring that each individual performing tests receives regular in-service training and education appropriate for the type and complexity of the laboratory services performed.

11. Perform task in any area in the laboratory/specialty whenever indicated.

Specify, in writing, the responsibilities and duties of each person, engaged in the performance of the pre-analytic, analytic and post-analytic phases of testing.

12. Follow and maintain CME program.

13. Maintains a complete record for every employee and follow the validity of the employee licenses and documents.

14. Follow the renewal of the branch licenses and the updating of the data for the Labor office, Passport office and social insurance, by receiving reports from Human Resources Dept. Ensure that:

Preferred candidate profile

Minimum 10 years of Experience in Genetic Lab Bachelor of Laboratory Masters degree ( preferred) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or = Must have experience with regulatory and accreditation of laboratory operations, preferably CAP, JCI, and CBAHI.

SAR 8000 to 12000 per month plus other benefits
