Urgent Position - Web Designer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and creative Senior Web Designer/WordPress Designer to
enhance Apeejay Education's digital presence. This role focuses on crafting engaging, user-
friendly websites, high-converting landing pages, and email templates while maintaining
brand consistency. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of blending design
aesthetics with technical expertise, particularly in WordPress and HTML/CSS, to meet the
needs of prospective students and stakeholders in the education sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Web Design and Development:

1. Design and develop user-centric websites and landing pages using WordPress and
custom HTML/CSS.
2. Optimize designs for mobile responsiveness and fast page load speeds, enhancing user
experience and SEO performance.
3. Maintain and implement web accessibility standards (WCAG).
Conversion Rate Optimization:
4. Create and improve high-converting landing pages to drive inquiries and applications
for various programs and events.
5. Apply A/B testing tools and data analytics to refine design decisions for maximum
impact.
Collaboration and Innovation:
6. Work closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and implement innovative
digital features.
7. Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to align design goals with marketing
objectives.
Brand Consistency and Visual Identity:
8. Ensure all digital assets align with Apeejay Education’s branding and maintain the
highest quality standards.
9. Create design systems to standardize branding across platforms.
Technical Excellence:
10. Utilize tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar for wireframes, prototypes,
and mockups.
11. Stay updated with current UX/UI trends, SEO best practices, and email client
compatibility issues.

1. Conversion Optimization: Increase conversion rates across web properties.
2. User Engagement: Enhance metrics like session duration and reduce bounce rates.
3. Responsive Design: Ensure seamless functionality across all devices.
4. Design Consistency: Maintain brand integrity across digital platforms.

Required Skills:

1.Desig Tools: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
or Figma.
2. Web Technologies: Strong skills in WordPress customization, HTML, CSS, and
basic JavaScript.
3. Analytics and Optimization: Experience with A/B testing and CRO tools like
Unbounce or Instapage.
4. Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, creativity, and teamwork.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field.
Certifications in UX/UI design or digital marketing are advantageous.

Experience:

7+ years in web design, focusing on user engagement and conversion.
Proven experience with WordPress and custom web development.
Portfolio showcasing successful projects, including websites, landing pages, and email designs.
Experience in the education sector is highly desirable.
