Team Lead - Transportation Business (15-20 yrs)

Our client is seeking an experienced Team Leader to join their Transportation department, focusing on improving logistics operations efficiency. The ideal candidate will manage Pan-India logistics, ensuring timely and reliable customer service while driving operational excellence.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Oversee inbound and outbound logistics for both domestic and export orders.

- Manage logistics across multiple locations, ensuring efficient freight management (- 3500 - 4000 Mn).

- Collaborate with vendors, negotiate contracts, and monitor vendor performance through digital tools.

- Drive digitalization efforts across the supply chain, leveraging AI and data science for cost optimization.

- Plan and manage peak seasons, uncertainties, and surge demands.

- Align logistics strategies with sales teams and adopt global best practices.

- Focus on green logistics and reduction in Scope 3 emissions.

- Lead and develop a high-performing team, ensuring team engagement and collaboration.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

- 15-20 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.

- Strong vendor management, negotiation, and leadership skills.

- Experience in using AI for logistics optimization is a plus.
