The Business analyst role forms part of Product Delivery function responsible for creation, upgrade and maintenance of credit applications built on OCP (Online Credit Platform) / WCP (Wholesale Credit Platform)
The role holder will form part of a core squad working on the objectives of OCP/WCP Product Delivery team, apart from managing a team of business analysts if/as required
The team works hand in hand with software engineers and data scientists, using Agile methods of design and delivery, with a focus on continuous user feedback
The Business Analyst will be required to document user stories with a focus on credit analysis, using external and internal data sources to derive insights
The Business Analyst will also work with the support team in ensuring the platforms are updated for any bug fixes and regulatory changes
The role requires working with multiple stakeholders, including R&A, Credit, technology, and external data vendors to deliver high value features
The Business Analyst will be required to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment, adapting quickly to challenges and opportunities as they arise

What will your day look like

As a Business Analyst, you are accountable for:

Individual contribution :

Ensure that assigned business analysis activities are conducted within agreed timelines and cost parameters.
Ensure that the outputs and benefits are clear and that identified products provide efficiencies in business.
Develop requirements that are fit-for-purpose, accurate and display an understanding of the financial implications to the project or program and manage the requirements throughout the life of the project.
Assist with activities in implementing the change and embedding BAU transition and propose measures that provide input to benefit metrics
Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and communicate requirements clearly and concisely.
Adhere to established ANZ policy and procedures and display an understanding of technology delivery and program practices and governance.
Display knowledge of business analysis processes, demonstrate ability to document and communicate requirements effectively and provide input for the improvement of business analysis processes and performance
Participate in the continuous improvement of solutions and governance processes.
Work with Business Analysis peers to improve, develop and promote the Business Analysis profession.
Support the analysis of application and program risks and issues, adhere to change control processes and requirements traceability throughout the life of the project or program.

Team Management:

Manage a team of business analysts, as and when assigned.
Uplift the team profile by mentoring and supporting their learning and growth requirements.
Provide entity and functional leadership to a team of analysts working across diverse areas.
Foster a positive and inclusive culture as evidenced in strong engagement metrics.

What will you bring

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following however not all the skills are mandatory.

Domain knowledge of and exposure to corporate/ wholesale credit life cycle
Strong people management and leadership skills
Detailed knowledge of business analysis tasks, experience in elicitation techniques and competent in requirements gathering skills
Experience working with large-scale data and deriving insights - highly desired
Data/programming skills not required however advantageous
Ability to work independently with senior stakeholders
Experience working in agile delivery team desired with exposure to tools such as JIRA, Confluence, etc.
A proven record in managing and mentoring teams, with a commitment to building team capabilities and fostering a positive, inclusive culture
Passionate about coaching, mentoring, and developing others by providing technical guidance and leadership
