NPD Sr. Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled NPD Sr. Project Engineer to join our team and lead the development of new tools and products in the plastic industry. The ideal candidate will coordinate across departments, ensuring seamless execution from planning to final customer submission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with Planning, Manufacturing, and Quality departments to achieve new product development targets.
• Prepare technical documents such as CP, PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, MSA, PSW, and submit them as per customer requirements.
• Plan and conduct layout inspections for new and regular parts.
• Prepare, review, and manage internal technical documents.
• Conduct design validation, feasibility studies, and new conceptual design analysis.
• Develop injection molds as per company standards.
• Manage time planning effectively for projects.
• Handle plastic material procurement for new tools and production.
• Perform final inspections, testing, and sample submissions to customers on schedule.
• Oversee heat treatment activities and outsourced processes (Wirecut, EDM, VMC, etc.).
• Handle engineering changes (ECN) received from customers.
• Operate engraving machines and draft 8D reports with corrective actions.
• Prepare and streamline technical documentation for production processes.
• Manage RFQs and ensure customer requirements are met efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Plastics Engineering or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in project management within the plastic injection molding and tool development sector.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in CP, PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, MSA, and design software.
• Knowledge: Hands-on experience with plastic material properties, heat treatment, and machining processes.
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and time management skills
