- Job Title: Director of Data ScienceLocation: Bengaluru, KarnatakaWhat you will do: Define and execute the data science roadmap aligning with the company s strategic objectives and cross-functional needs
- Lead and mentor a team of data scientists and machine learning engineers to foster a high-performing and innovative team environment
- Drive the development and deployment of sophisticated models and algorithms that address key business challenges
- Collaborate with executive leadership and stakeholders across Product, Engineering, and Business teams to prioritise data initiatives and resource allocation
- Ensure the implementation of best practices in data management, model development, validation, deployment and monitoring
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI technologies
- Promote a data-driven culture across the organization, enhancing data literacy at all levels
- Facilitate the adoption of platform features to support model development, deployment, and continuous monitoring
- Communicate technical concepts and the impact of data science initiatives to non-technical stakeholders
- Who you are: Master s or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of leading data science projects on large-scale consumer-facing applications from conception to implementation, delivering tangible business impact
- Strong hands-on knowledge of machine learning, predictive modelling, statistics, and optimisation techniques
- Experience with data science tools and languages (eg
- , Python, SQL scikit-learn, PyTorch/Tensorflow)
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage a high-performing team
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
- Prior experience with cloud platforms and big data technologies (eg, AWS, Spark)
- Strategic thinking with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneousl
