Team Lead - Android Developer

Role & responsibilities

1. Overall responsibility and accountability for Android App.

2. Hands-on coding, systems analysis, design, and delivery of projects assigned.

3. Overall App Design - code, performance, security.

4. Deliver new features, execute on the roadmap and plan for the future.

5. Convert app requirements into actionable and tangible items for all stakeholders.

6. Release planning and timely integration with other stakeholders (product, backend, frontend, UI/UX etc).

7. Proactive ANR, other crash fixes etc.

8. Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development/performance etc.

9. Improve product quality through code reviews, writing effective unit tests, and collaborating with QA.

10. Experience designing and developing complex user interfaces

Preferred candidate profile

1. Excellent Kotlin and Java

2. Excellent core Java/OOPS knowledge and an understanding of Java.

3. Excellent Data Structure and Design Patterns.

4. Strong logical reasoning and programming skills.

5. Strong knowledge of JSON data handling

6. Understanding of MVC and other design patterns.

7. Experience analyzing features in production using analytics and experiments (e.g. A/B testing; use various reporting systems to identify root cause of issues etc.)

8. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git/Github/TFS.

9. Familiarity with AWS services and libraries is a plus.

10. Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse technologies and techniques.
